On April 9, 2009 (Thursday), the USAID-funded Business Environment Activity and Human and Institutional Development program together with the Public Procurement Bureau and the Faculty of Law are organizing a kick-off event for the launch of the Public Procurement Training Center. The event will take place at the Faculty of Law (University Saints Cyril and Methodius), Skopje, from 17:00 to 18:00.

Opening addresses will be given by the Director of the Public procurement Bureau Mrs. Mare Bogeva-Micovska, USAID Mission Director, Mr. Michael T. Fritz and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Borce Davitkovski.

The goal of the Training Center is to provide professional training and education to all stakeholders involved in the public procurement process. At the beginning, the Center will receive full USAID’s support, and in the latter stage, it will transfer to a sustainable, self-financed institution.
