On August 29^th 2007, in the hotel “Holiday Inn” in Skopje, representatives of the State Labor Inspectorate of Macedonia participated in the training on “Professional ethics and SWOT analysis”, supported by USAID Business Environment Activity- Team for Labor Policy and pension reforms.

The workshop was opened by the director of the Labor Inspectorate, Mr. Fexhri Selami, and by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mr. Ljupco Meskov.

This training precedes the campaign “Stop for grey economy employment”, which officially starts on September 14^th.

The main purpose of this training was to strengthen the capacities of the Labor Inspectorate. The participants were from two sectors of the inspectorate: Labor inspectors, and the sector for protection during work. A variety of topics were discussed, such as: principles of professional and business ethics, the process of strategic planning, SWOT analysis as an element of the process of strategic planning. The participants worked in groups and made a SWOT analysis of the inspectorate. During the whole training they had interactive discussions. At the end of the training all the participants were given certificates for a successfully completed training.
