By signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Business Environment Activity (BEA) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) agreed to strengthen their fruitful cooperation in the forthcoming period. The MoU was signed by BEA Director, Mr. Alexandar Shahov, and the President of SEC, Mrs. Marina Nakeva Kavrakova on May 22.

The MoU commits the two parties to continue their joint efforts in promoting the principles of good corporate governance practices. BEA will support SEC’s additional capacity building, while BEA and SEC will work together on providing Macedonian companies with support aimed at improving transparency and information disclosure. As outlined in the MoU, BEA and SEC will also cooperate in the field of public education related to shareholder protection.
